FAQ

Here we try to answer some of the most frequently asked questions while providing additional insight and information into our services.

What is fascia?

You know when you peel an orange and you see that white substance? It connects the orange to the peel, holds the orange together as whole, forms each wedge and even creates little pockets for the juice to sit.  That white substance is the orange’s fascia! It works the same way in our bodies. The peel is like our skin and holds everything together from the outside. The orange itself with no peel is our body as a whole just under the skin. Each wedge forms our facial bundles or lines. The pockets of juice are our individual muscles, organs, tendons etc. If you squish one wedge of the orange it no longer has it sphere shape and the orange as a whole is dysfunctional. If we have tension in a muscle then it also can disrupt the function of a fascia bundle or line and ultimately cause dysfunction throughout our bodies.

By looking at your body like an entire orange and breaking down your different wedges I can see where dysfunction is forming and get you back to functioning as a whole like an unpeeled orange!
